Katie is a counsellor and psychotherapist, certified with Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), the peak body for counsellors and psychotherapists in Australia. Katie’s previous professional life has been dedicated to public health research and epidemiology, working in government, not-for-profit and higher education research institutes, and gaining a PhD. She has a long interest in mental health and an educational background in Psychology. While undertaking her psychology studies, Katie found she was drawn to a more holistic approach encompassing metaphysical awareness.
With practice and studies grounded in Jungian philosophy, Katie works with the relationship within the self, between the various facets of the self, and the interplay between soul and ego, mind and heart. She works with adolescents, young adults and adult clients, to address grief and bereavement, anxiety and depression, stress, and existential crisis. Her approach is gentle, compassionate, and client-centred, seeking to enhance self-awareness, in support of self-worthiness, empowerment, and overall health and wellbeing.
