Gillian can also help people needing support to manage stress, parenting, and develop confidence and self-esteem. Working with you, Gillian will be a collaborator and supporter to assist you to make sense of yourself and the things happening in your life. She will help create a space in which you can develop the meanings and alternative approaches you need to flourish. Her approach is holistic; centred on your needs and experiences rather than on diagnostic labels.

She employs a range of evidence-based approaches, particularly drawing upon Positive Psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness approaches, and brain and body-based therapies. Whatever treatment plan is tailored, she firmly believes that it is within a supportive relationship that people find the clarity, courage, and the path to pursue their values and lead a richer, more fulfilling life.

Gillian has worked in the field of psychology for over 20 years and has been registered as a Psychologist since 2006. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She has worked in private practice, women’s health, research, advocacy, and the non-government sector.
